I got my hands on a Canon EOS 30D for a week and had some fun.

Hi there

I haven't posted a journal in just shy of a year, which is quite terrible.
Well hello to the people who have watched me! Just want to say thanks so much. It means a lot.

So much has happened in the last year. I've actually moved and have been staying in Dundee since my last post. I've finished school and been accepted into uni in Copenhagen. I've just started to settle in Dundee so that kind of sucks but that's life. I'm excited about Denmark though and all the things I am going to learn. ^_^ wooo!

I recently found some new photographic techniques and programs. The little planets is the main example and I love them! I want to make so many more! >_<

I'm currently saving up for a Sony Alpha a200. Hopefully I will get that soon. It looks like a decent starter DSLR camera for a reasonable price and a good megapixel rating. Do you know of any other cameras that cost around £300 and are 10 megapixels? If you do please comment below.

Hey guys

Just a little about me seeing it is my first journal.

My name is Jared Armstrong
I am from South Africa and still live there today. I am 17 at the moment. Not much else really.

About my photos:
I got my camera (a Sony CyberShot DSC-W200) in December 2007 for christmas and since then I have been taking photos. The photos before that were taken with a cell phone camera (Nokia N90) or my dad's digital.
I have never actually set up a shoot. All my photos have been spontaneous and on location.

I am going to - during the August holidays ahead - make a series or 2 of photos with a common theme. More about that later.

I am moving to Scotland at the end of August 2008 and I am sure many things are going to influence me there and a lot of photos are just waiting to be taken. I'm so excited it's unbelievable.
